Non-Conflict Minerals policy – "No purchase, no use of conflict metals"

Armed rebel groups in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and neighboring countries in Africa have caused international controversy by mining metals and mineral trading that has led to many social and environmental problems, including human rights abuses and armed violence. Mineral. Such metallic minerals include tantalum (Ta), tin (Sn), tungsten (W) and gold (Au), also known as 3TG, which, if sourced from the DRC and adjacent conflict areas, are considered Conflict Minerals.

As a corporate citizen, HOLiTH supports the Conflict-Free Sourcing Initiative (CFSI) established by the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC) and the Global e-Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) in order to defend human rights and mitigate armed conflict in DRC and neighboring countries, and fulfill our social responsibility by posting our policy on conflict-free metals on our website.

We commit that:

We do not purchase conflict metals sourced from conflict areas in DRC and neighboring countries.

Besides, we require our suppliers not to use conflict metals from conflict areas. If metal minerals are sourced from a conflict area, they must be from a conflict-free mine that has been verified by a third party. In the event of unintentional use of conflict minerals for our products, we must be notified in the first instance so that the necessary measures can be taken.

We also do our due diligence to investigate the sources of metals from our suppliers. CMRT (Conflict Minerals Reporting Template) of CFSI is adopted to request our suppliers to disclose the source of their minerals and to sign a letter of commitment regarding conflict-free minerals, with the expectation that our suppliers will comply with the conflict-free minerals policy. With responsible procurement management, we ensure that our purchases and those of our suppliers are sourced from non-conflict areas and meet the requirements of our customers and regulations.
